Frequently Asked Questions

What grades do you serve?

We currently serve elementary-aged children in grades 1–4, with plans to grow organically as God leads and resources allow. Our small-scale setting allows for personalized attention and multi-age learning.

What does a typical school day look like?

Each day includes Bible study and prayer, core academic instruction (reading, writing, math, and science), outdoor learning, and farm-based activities such as gardening, animal care, and nature study. We believe in rhythms over routines, with a healthy balance of structure and freedom.

Is this a homeschool co-op, private school, or something else?

We are a Christian micro-school. While we offer full-time instruction, we also support and partner closely with parents—much like a hybrid between a traditional school and a homeschool community.

Do you follow a specific curriculum?

Yes. We use My Father’s World as our core curriculum. It is designed to nurture both the mind and the soul, with plenty of opportunities for hands-on, meaningful learning.

How much time do students spend outdoors?

A lot! We believe children thrive when connected to nature. Weather permitting, students spend a healthy amount of time outdoors each day—learning, playing, and engaging in age-appropriate responsibilities.

Do parents have to volunteer or participate?

We view education as a shared journey between school and home, and we believe children thrive when their families are actively engaged in their learning community. With that in mind, we require families to contribute their time at least twice a month.

Parents are invited to serve in ways that align with their unique gifts and strengths—whether by leading workshops, sharing skills or hobbies, assisting with farm projects, reading with students, or helping with daily routines. From gardening and cooking to storytelling, music, or handiwork, your involvement enriches the learning experience and strengthens our community.

We also host family workdays, seasonal events, and learning opportunities where parents can take an active role. Our goal is to foster a culture where families feel valued, equipped, and connected to the heartbeat of the school.

What is the Enrichment Program, and what does it include?

Our Enrichment Program is designed to bring learning to life by connecting students with real-world experiences that complement what they’re studying both inside and outside the classroom. Through thoughtfully planned outings and hands-on opportunities, students gain a deeper understanding of God’s world and their place in it.

Enrichment experiences may include visits to local farms, a honey bee apiary, a music studio, nature preserves, sustainable gardens, and other local locations that align with current themes and subjects. Whether we’re studying pollination, agriculture, music, or community service, our goal is to make learning meaningful, memorable, and mission-driven.

These experiences not only support academic goals but also help students grow in curiosity, confidence, and connection to their community.

How many students will attend the school?

We plan to enroll 9 students in our first year. As the school grows and we are able to hire additional teachers, we will reevaluate enrollment while remaining committed to our original intention of providing a highly personalized approach to education.

When will the school open?

Our first day of school is August 11, 2025. School hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
